Portable hyperspectral imager

SIMTRUM's HY-60 series portable hyperspectral imager is a spectral imaging system suitable for field work. The host has a built-in power module, no need for cumbersome external wiring and field professional tripod, with the advantages of rapid erection and rapid completion of acquisition work. Provide rapid and convenient solutions for agricultural and forestry research, ecological environment, urban applications, industrial applications, archaeological relics, geological exploration and military applications.

The built-in push-scan portable hyperspectral imager is equipped with a laser ranging module and an autofocus lens, which can quickly complete the autofocus of the hyperspectral camera and complete the data collection operation through the built-in push-scan structure, which is convenient and fast.

Identification of genuine and fake green plants
 

 

The above figure shows the original spectra of true and false epipremnum aureum collected by visible and near-infrared. The leaf surface spectral lines of true and false Epipremnum aureum were picked respectively, and the differences can be clearly seen.

The following figure shows a comparison between the 500nm&750nm&800nm composite image and the RGB composite image. It can be seen that the RGB composite image, like the human eye, cannot distinguish materials by color. The 500nm&750nm&800nm composite image can clearly identify the two different materials of the test object. The plastic material of the fake green vine appears purple, while the real green vine appears blue.

The core of hyperspectral imaging is to obtain the reflection information of the target object at different wavelengths. Under low-light conditions, an external light source is required for illumination. Meanwhile, external light source illumination can provide more uniform and stable light, avoiding the dark differences and spectral distortion of the image caused by uneven illumination. The lighting source can be selected as: halogen lamp /LED light source

Is a reflectance board needed?  

 

The function of a reflectance board is to provide a calibration reference for hyperspectral data, ensuring the accuracy and traceability of spectral reflectance data.Since there are usually certain differences in reflectance measured by different devices and at different times, after calibration with a reflectance board, the spectral data of the same target collected by different cameras/times can be directly compared. That is: The function of the reflectance board is to enable the quantification of hyperspectral data.
