Point confocal displacement sensor

SIMTRUM'S laser spectral confocal displacement sensor utilizes an innovative color laser spectral confocal technology, which can achieve superior measurement capabilities and meet demanding measurement requirements. A high-density wide-spectrum light emitted by the light source forms monochromatic light of different wavelengths within the measurement range after passing through the dispersion lens, with each wavelength corresponding to a distance value. The measurement light is reflected after hitting the object's surface, and only the light that meets the confocal condition can pass through the small hole and be detected by the spectrometer. The distance value can be obtained by calculating the wavelength of the focus of the detected light. Its measurement accuracy is close to that of the laser confocal microscope, but the cost is lower.

Measurement principle
 
A color laser light source emits a high-density wide-spectrum light beam. After passing through a dispersion lens, it forms monochromatic light of different wavelengths within the measurement range, with each wavelength corresponding to a distance value. When the measured light strikes the surface of an object and is reflected back, only the light that meets the confocal condition can be sensed by the spectrometer through the small hole. The distance value is obtained by calculating the wavelength of the focus of the sensed light and converting it.

The color laser light source, in combination with the latest CMOS chip, can make the half-peak width more than half smaller than that of conventional leds, and the sampling accuracy is 1.33 times that of conventional leds
