Optical Isolator

Optical Isolator is made from a combination of Polarizing Beamsplitter Cube and Quarter Waveplate. The incoming light beam will be linearly polarized by the Beamsplitter before converting to a circular polarization due to the quarter waveplate. Any of the outgoing beam that is reflected back into the isolator will be converted by the Quarter Waveplate into linearly polarized beam once again but orthogonal to the incoming beam. Thereafter, the beam will be blocked by the beamsplitter cube and absorbed, not exiting from the input direction.
