Since multiphoton systems use very high-energy pulsed lasers, they require an OD8+ cut-off depth in the laser band range (typically 680 - 1064 nm) and dichroic mirrors with high reflectivity in this band range and high transmittance in the visible region. In order to avoid laser damage to the detector, it is recommended to permanently place an OD8+ short-pass filter in the detection path of the multi-photon system, and then place the corresponding band-pass filter (with OD6+ cut-off depth in the laser band) in front of the detector according to specific requirements.

Filter configuration for GFP two-photon imaging: ZT775sp-2p is a dichroic mirror to reflect 2p laser light and transmit fluorescence, ET750sp-2p8 is a short-pass emitter available in The 2p laser band provides a cut-off depth of OD8+, and the ET525/50m-2p is a bandpass emitter that receives GFP fluorescence while providing a cut-off depth of OD6+ in the 2p laser band.
