Potassium Dihydrogen Phosphate(KDP), like DKDP(Potassium Dideuterium Phosphate) is a non-linear optical material that is usually used for doubling, tripling and quadrupling of Nd:YAG laser at the room temperature. Possessing the same large NLO(nonlinear optical materials) coefficient, wide transparency range, and high optical damage threshold, they are also excellent materials for electro-optical modulators, Q-switches and Pockels cells.


The key difference between KDP & DKDP would be the slightly different curie points and relative dielectric constants, and transparency range. Normally, KDP is preferred for fourth harmonic pulse matching.
