LilO3(Lithium Iodate) crystal is an uniaxial non-linear crystal that has high NLO(nonlinear optical coefficient) and wide transparency range ranging from 0.5-5.0μm. LilO3 is used for frequency doubling and tripling of low and medium power Ti:Sapphire, Alexandrite, Cr:LiSrAlF6 and Cr:LiCaAlF6 lasers.  


They are also used as auto-correlators for measuring ultra-short pulse width. LiO3 crystals are highly hydroscopic and has low damage threshold. Thus, they are recommended to keep in dry environments & usage for low power applications.
