Glan Taylor Polarizer is made up of two birefringent materials that are bonded together. We have used the air-spaced method to bond them to allow for better damage threshold and temperature range. Its length to aperture ratio is less than 1, hence it is considered as a thin polarizer. Since our polarizer has no windows for light to escape, it is much more useful for low to medium power applications.


Calcite can be in the form of transparent to opaque with hints of phosphorescence or fluorescence. This type of crystal has birefringent properties and has an ordinary refractive index of 1.658 and an extraordinary refractive index of 1.486. It can target a wide spectrum of 190-1700nm, and it is a uniaxial crystal frequently use from visible to Near IR polarizers.
