Brewster Windows are designed such that at Brewster’s angle (55.57°) , s-polarized light will be partially reflected, whereas loss of p-polarised light is minimised. When placed within laser cavities, Brewster windows will cause the laser output to product linearly p-polarised light.


Nd:YVO4 is an efficient material used for laser crystals and diode lasers or solid-state lasers. Due to its high stability and high-power tolerance, it has a high damage threshold and optical properties. It can substitute Calcite crystals in many applications with its wide transparency range and birefringence properties.
